Stories say the alchemical engine was, like most discoveries of the esoteric alchemists, a happy accident. It is said that when the inventor looked upon his creation, as the light of the alchemical fire illuminated his face in the dark of his laboratory, he saw the future, and he grinned.
The alchemical engine was indeed a marvel of alchemy and the sciences. It was more powerful than any steam engine, and required a disproportionately small amount of fuel for its impressive power. It began a revolution of industry and advancement for the Empire, and our quality of life rivaled even that of the famous empyreans.
Naturally, Empyreus
He used to be a knight, before the cataclysm stole his life from him. Now he walks the world, a cursed creature doomed never to rest, and bereft of purpose. He used to champion causes and rescue princesses, but now he has nothing.
Perhaps there is one cause that may yet be championed. He’s come across other undead in the wasteland. What if he were to champion them? The others who have had their lives stolen from them?
After all, when you’re dead, you have very little to live for, so why not live for others?
Shadows come when darkness finds light.
As my world gets bigger, so does its shadow.
Shadows hide the truth. Ugly truths even the shadows won’t name.
The grander my world gets, the worse I get.
It is all too much, too fast, too strong.
I am the summation of the past, of the darkness forgotten.
My name is Abram, and I am shadow. As they grow, I grow.
And as the world ends, I awaken to the truths. I cast my own shadow.
I become my own world by devouring yours.
And neither of us will ever see it coming.
The wind blows through the spidery branches,
Of memories lost and forgotten,
An angel’s plume drifting through the night,
Starlit dreams bringing hope and wonder.
Through yellow sands and shrouded woods,
They swirl and float and fly,
O’er turquoise coasts and mountains tall,
Starlit fields and lonely cabins.
Only upon the beautiful dawn,
Do wondrous dreams fade,
And likewise upon the sun’s set,
Are the starlit dreams remade.

O sweet bed of mine
Welcome me back
'Twixt warm sheets of thine
For you see, dear
I regret leaving you
For the couch so near
Please take me back
Into sweet dreams
Of which sleep has no lack
I won't be leaving again!
...Not until the alarm clock goes off, anyway.

Last night, I had the idea to do a sort of Skyrim let's-play on here, writing my character's accomplishments and thoughts. I figured it'd work since it's not like I'm using this account for much else.
If any of my friends here have thoughts on that, I'd love to hear them.
So, apparently ~ALINAFMdotRO (https://www.deviantart.com/alinafmdotro) is having a "Geeky Giveaway", where they give away geeky amulets. They seem really cool, so I'm entering and would recommend it to people reading this too. http://gemdedude.deviantart.com/art/Geeky-Giveaway-364009565
